Intonation Music with Tonya Howell and Julian Heller

Chris of The Morning Mix chats with Tonya Howell, Executive Director of Intonation Music and Chicago Student Julian Heller about their upcoming benefit concert at Beat Kitchen on April 12. The concert will bring together four Chicago-area high school bands to raise money for Intonation Music and expand access to music education for kids across the city.

The event is student-led, with Julian and his bandmates coordinating everything. The concert will feature You’re My Octopus, 7th Period, Fank!, and Ambiance, with all proceeds supporting Intonation Music’s work providing instruments, instruction, and mentorship to young people who might not otherwise have access to music education.
