For decades, the Amityville Horror has been called one of the most notorious hoaxes in paranormal history. Today, many roll their eyes at the story of George and Kathy Lutz fleeing 112 Ocean Avenue after just 28 days...especially when Ed & Lorraine Warren turn up. With endless movies, sequels, and parodies, the case has become a pop-culture joke.

But what if we’ve been too quick to dismiss it?

In this feature-length episode of Into the Fog, I strip away the Hollywood dramatics and the exaggerations from Jay Anson’s book. Instead, he focuses solely on the eyewitness testimony from the Lutz family and those directly involved: George, Kathy, their children, Father Ray, and close friends who experienced the house firsthand. You may well hear details of the case you've never heard before.

When you listen to what these people actually said (not the screenwriters or the tabloids) the picture looks different. The story of Amityville becomes less about a “hoax” and more about a genuinely unsettling haunting that spiralled out of control once the media circus began.

Join me as we grapple with the raw testimony at the heart of America’s most infamous haunted house and explore Amityville at 50: What if it was REAL after all?

And do watch until the end, for some important thoughts on how we should deal with paranormal cases in general.

What terrified actress Joan Collins so much that she fled her Italian mansion in the middle of the night?

In this chilling episode, I delve into the frightening paranormal experience of Joan Collins. Originally shared on the classic UK paranormal show 'Strange But True’, I’ve dug deeper to find more scary details. She stayed at a luxurious but unsettling palazzo, and soon discovered she wasn’t alone. Was it the house that was haunted… or the portrait in the hall?

Explore this scary mystery and discover what this case might reveal about haunted objects, and the power they hold.

These are real stories that have never been heard before. Unsettling accounts sent in by viewers from three different parts of the world. Each one is a chilling reminder that the paranormal doesn’t care about borders, beliefs, or geography.

In tonight’s episode of Into the Fog, we explore:
    • A disturbing presence in a traditional house in Kyoto, Japan
    • A security guard’s unexplained night of chaos in the UK
    • And a chilling haunting that changed men’s personality in Indiana, USA

All three stories are true, previously unheard, and deeply personal. And together, they reveal one unsettling truth: no country is safe.
