I had the privilege of chatting with, amazing indie author, Tessonja Odette (@tessonja) and I am so excited to share that with you! Tessonja has quite a few titles out and still more to come. Her latest book, Married by Scandal releases this Friday, September 23rd. I am a huge fan of her Fair Isle trilogy(To Carve a Fae Heart, To Wear a Fae Crown, and To Spark a Fae War) as well as her Entangled with Fae series which she uses to retell some of our classic favorites like Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Snow White and more. Join me as I chat with her about writing, morally grey characters, villain redemptions, favorite tropes, and her amazing talent as her own cover designer and character art creator. Enjoy!

In one of the longest recordings yet, I sat down to chat with Cam(aka @the_paperbackprince) and we talked about New York, banned books, literary representation and gender/sexuality conversations... We also talked about Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, the Caraval series, and we said some major spoilers for one of my favorite books Every Heart a Doorway.
AND because we talked SO much, I chose to split our convo into two parts to make it a little more time friendly.
    As always... Enjoy!

In the second half of my conversation with Cam, we discussed the sad passing of the 'midnight release' for books, book-to-screen adaptations affecting book crazes, unpopular book opinions, his favorite trope, reading goals and habits, and we are left with one final question. Will Cam EVER read The Book of Night by Holly Black?
