  • In today's episode, we're going to interview Author Julie Elkins. She lost a business in California and relocated to Connecticut with her husky Thunder (but they call him "Wubbs"). Thunder's Grand Adventure is the first in a series that she will be writing over the next few years. As a mom of 2, she always loved reading books to her kids.

    Her hope is to encourage young readers to learn and grow with Thunder through his many hilarious mishaps while learning how to navigate the world around him.

    One of her kids always had a difficult time adapting to new situations and she realized how powerful identifying with a character through books could be to cope with life's various transitions.
