Peter Plougmand joined Jamie McCreedy on Inside the Mind Of to discuss his rise from Danish amateur football to becoming one of the most decorated players in NCAA Division II history.Starting at Tarup-Paarup IF in Denmark — where he made 42 appearances and scored 17 goals in the Denmark Series — Peter balanced senior football with his development before moving to the United States. At Mars Hill University, he exploded onto the national stage, scoring 59 goals in 69 appearances and captaining the team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012.His senior season was historic: 25 goals, 56 points, and leading all of NCAA Division II in both categories. He was named the D2CCA Ron Lenz National Player of the Year — the first in program history — alongside multiple All-American and regional honours. Peter later signed professionally with Chattanooga FC in MLS Next Pro and is currently rehabbing in Denmark following injury, targeting a return to full fitness.
