Earlier this week, Charlotte City Council members approved a $93 million financing plan to support the acquisition of the Norfolk Southern O-Line corridor and surrounding properties, a key component of the long-anticipated Red Line commuter rail project.

Wednesday's meeting is in Davidson, and will include discussions on the commuter rail project. The 25-mile rail line would connect Uptown Charlotte to Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville.
