Inclusive Feminism | Womanism + Mujerista Theology

Women are more likely to be food insecure than men in every region of the world, according to a 2017 report by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations. When women are in a domestic violence scenario where a gun is present they are five times more likely to be killed. According to a study done by Obstetrics & Gynecology, it was found that 64% of women reported ever having difficulty affording menstrual products. But these were and are not the issues at the forefront of the feminist movement. Mainstream feminism often focuses on issues that affect the women already at the top, there they can worry about body hair or career advancement. Womanism + Mujerista Theology allows for a sense of wholeness and restoration that white feminism attempts to disregard and shut out.
