She worked for ten years as an engineer before turning to full-time writing. Since then, she has published five books – Lost Edges (novel), Magic Square (novella), Everyday People (a short story collection), and travel guides for Hampi and Badami. She has also translated three books from English to Malayalam: Tom Sawyer, Alice in Wonderland, and Chuck and Gek. She's currently translating the English translation of Mrugaya (a famous Odia play by Biswajit Das) into Malayalam. She is the fiction editor of Mean Pepper Vine, a quarterly literary magazine.
