First episode of 2025 and it is a doozy!

For this The Whole Muslim, I am featuring the Ad'iyah Collective, an organization that was created so that Muslim Women can have a safe, inclusive space during their pregnancy-ending journey.

The subject of abortion has been in the news A LOT, especially because so many politicians are working so hard to take away our rights to bodily autonomy. I talk to the founder of the Ad'iyah Collective, AZ (name withheld for privacy), and we discuss how the collective helps Muslim women navigate a deeply personal transition that is already so taboo and with the current political climate has become downright dangerous to even discuss openly!

Another year down and it has been a doozy!

Ongoing genocides and the re-election of the Cheeto and so much more! We collectively have to do better. The time for words and lessons is past and now we got to dedicate ourselves to action. Action that will bring about the change that is needed to fix this mess of a world we have created. Clean it up, fix it up and leave it a livable planet for our kids.

I'm sort of leaning towards that direction too. I seem to be at some sort of impasse and I am not sure if I will continue podcasting after I come back from my break in January. Although, I'm not even 100% sure about that decision but it is something I am thinking over. And even if that is the case, it won't be a permanent goodbye, more like podcasting infrequently as compared to before.

It's no secret, when times get tough and we need answers, you gotta turn to the smart people!

Well that's what I did, because I was getting also experiencing post-election stress, so I turned to one of the smartest people I knew, Dr. Uzma Jafri, producer and host of the "Mommying While Muslim" podcast. And we sat down and discussed in an Instagram Live about what comes next for the future of America? What should the people who don't approve of the cheeto and all his shenanigans do to make sure that lunacy and fascism does not reign supreme, especially in lieu of him and his backers really wanting to enact Project 2025?

This episode is a recording of that live discussion, and the reason I put it out as an episode is because I think it has lots of insights that will benefit listeners about 'what to do next?'

Inaction is not an option, folks. Resistance and revolution is the way forward!
