  • Jonah was told specifically to go to Nineveh, but Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish (which was the exact opposite) from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and (as “coincidence” would have it, or as satan* would have it) he found a ship going to Tarshish: (how many times is satan pleased to make a way out from God in our lives? To we resist him so he will flee or do we go our own way, our own “Tarshish”?) If you aren’t going God’s way, you are going the wrong way. By default you are going satan’s way.

    Today we discuss this with a few FB rants, followed by the sinner’s prayer. *I purposely do NOT capitalize the name of satan because I do not want to give him on iota of honor.
