  • Strength for the Trial
    Jul 17 2025

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

We live in a fallen world where good behavior is not always rewarded, and bad behavior is not always punished. Innocent people sometimes suffer. Jesus warned us that we would have trouble, but He also promised us peace and victory.

Instead of being surprised by suffering, we can accept it as part of living in a broken world, while trusting that God is still in control.

    Bible References:

    • Psalm 34:19 — “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.”
Romans 8:18 — “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

    Proverbs 29:25 warns us clearly:

“Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.”
