Mark 11:13–14 (NIV)
Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.
At first glance, it may seem harsh that Jesus cursed a fig tree for not producing fruit when it wasn’t in season. He expected the tree, in response to His presence, to bear fruit regardless of the time or season.
As a child of God, you don’t need the world’s conditions to align for you to succeed. If the natural realm doesn’t respond in your favour, rebuke it! You have authority over the very laws that govern this world; if you don’t like something, your words can change it. Command fruitfulness, progress, and increase!
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, help me to bear fruit at all times. Strengthen me to exercise my authority over circumstances and to speak progress, increase, and fruitfulness into every season of my life.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
My life bears fruit in and out of season! Regardless of the world’s systems, my success is guaranteed. When life’s challenges rise against me, I rebuke them in Jesus’ Name!
