The Miami Hurricanes have just wrapped up their second practice of fall training camp. The Hurricanes are getting ready to face the Florida Gators in Gainesville on August 31st. Defensive backs took center stage today with interception drills, and they also made some good plays in 7 on 7. Sophomore cornerback Damari Brown is showing excellent physical development and has good hands in interception drills. He did well in coverage today against Miami’s star receiver, Xavier Restrepo.

Host Alex Donno recaps what he saw today in the second practice. Donno notes that the competition between Samson Okunlola and Matt McCoy is continuing for the starting left guard job. They will both get ample opportunity to compete before one of them lines up on August 31st. Donno notes continued progress from true freshman quarterback Judd Anderson. Miami will enjoy Friday off but will practice again on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday’s practice, CanesFest at Hard Rock Stadium, will be open to fans.
