  • A Conversation about Friendship
    Jun 12 2024

Two episodes in one day?! Yup- that's what I felt led to do- so here you go 🙂.
This episode is all about friendship. It's a topic I've felt led to talk about for a few years now- and the timing felt right.

Friendship from the perspective of human to human.
Friendship from the perspective of the Coach/Healer and client.

One of the main messages out of this episode: you HAVE to be your own best friend first- before you can truly be a friend to someone else.

I asked Kristin to come on this episode with me again because we have had a lot of fabulous and expansive conversations over the last 4 years around many topics- friendship being one of them. In the work that we do- it can be easy for people to desire a friendship with us or to think/assume that we already ARE friends. One of the most important lessons I've learned so far in my 42 years on this planet- at the root of a lot of miscommunication, hurt and anger are different definitions. Different definitions of concepts, words, ideas- if not clearly communicated- can lead to confusion and a lack of clarity. If we're able to clearly communicate- we can see, feel, and hear: WE ARE ALL ONE. When you can feel someone's heart, pure intentions and love- you feel pulled to it. This is why I've worked so hard on my ability to communicate- because I understand that this is necessary in order to help people see, feel and hear: WE ARE ALL ONE.

  • Kristin Wise Interviews Margaret "Mo" Smith
    Jun 12 2024

I very rarely talk about myself- unless asked.
I'm also a very good listener- a deep listener. Unless you're intentional, I will typically be the one asking questions.

Today's episode is different. I asked Kristin Wise of Wise Holistic Healing to join me as the host today for I love it when- to interview me! This idea came from my mentor, EnMay Mangels, back at the very beginning of this podcast in June 2022- exactly 2 years ago! Prior to recording EnMay mentioned that I needed to have someone come on the podcast and interview me- to ask me questions.

I asked Kristin to host because we've spent the last 4 years getting to know each other both personally and professionally- and she's also highly intuitive- so I knew she would follow her intuition throughout the process as well.

In today's episode we cover a wide range of questions, some of which are:
-Why "I love it when" for the name... why I started the company? Did I plan for it?
-I shared more about my education and background in social work, art and sociology.
-Is spirituality a "phase" for me? How do you define spirituality?
-What made me want to integrate spirituality into my business?
-How I've been healing through my business, healing through my finances.
-What has surprised me along the way?
-How are you different from other healers and coaches?

Grief and loss can be very difficult to talk about and share. I am thrilled to introduce you all to Maryann Udel- a beautiful soul who helps individuals and businesses with various topics related to change, loss and grief. This is a topic that 100% needs to be talked about more on both a personal and business capacity! This conversation aligns with so much of what I talk about with people at my retreats and in our coaching.

In this episode we talk about:
-Her experience at the age of 24 of losing her husband that ultimately led her to become an author, speaker and certified Life & Business Coach
-How she helps people in 1:1 settings and groups begin to process their grief
-How grief is still not yet a topic that is talked about enough
-And how suppressing your feelings/emotions will begin to show up in all sorts of ways within your body!
