  • Honoring Your 2025 Journey - A Year-End Reflection Through the Hero’s Journey
    Nov 27 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, have you taken time to honour the year you’ve lived? Have you contemplated every twist, turn, detour, triumph, and loss? In these times, it’s important to slow down, take a breath, and reflect on the path you’ve walked the past 11 months. The aim is not to judge or tally your progress, but instead to acknowledge your growth, however big or small.

In today's solo episode, I walk us through the key stages of the Hero’s Journey and invite you to apply your own experience and perspective to each of these stages. I share my own call to adventure this year and the major life events that almost drowned out that call. I hope by sharing my personal story of loss, grief, resilience, focus, and transformation, I offer you room to reflect, and perhaps relate, to your own stories, in your own way.

Tune in and listen to the thirty-fourth episode of I Can Do This, Show Me How! to close out your year with intention, reflection, and gratitude.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • The importance of a powerful moment of pause and reflection at the end of the year (0:10)
    • How grief, loss, and life transitions can slow us down, and how to honour these feelings (5:34)
    • What climbing a mountain in Tibet taught me about focus, courage, and capability (11:46)
    • How perfectionism became a major test on my journey this year (20:43)
    • How to integrate what you’ve learned this year into the new year with intention (37:26)

  • Endings and Beginnings - What We Learn from Letting Go
    Nov 13 2025

Have you ever felt that life was calling you in another direction? Sometimes, things that we’ve built and poured ourselves into, whether it be careers, institutions, or dreams, begin to change in ways that we can’t control, and letting go of what once defined us can feel impossible. However, it can also be the beginning of something new. The truth is, endings, while painful, often make space for transformation, reflection, and rediscovery.

In today's Part 3 episode, my conversation with Dr. Yun Kim continues as we discuss the closure of Emperor’s College, her family’s legacy in acupuncture, and her personal journey of navigating loss and rebirth. Dr. Kim shares what it was like to make the difficult decision to close the institution her family founded. She talks about how she cared for herself, with the help of her community, and what she’s learned about identity, leadership, and healing through undergoing this time of transition. We also explore the future of acupuncture education, the integration of the practice with modern technology, and the lasting impact of Dr. Kim’s students, who continue to shape the world of integrative medicine.

Tune in and listen to the thirty-third episode of I Can Do This, Show Me How! to hear how Dr. Kim found meaning in closure, freedom in uncertainty, and strength in transformation.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • What led to the closure of Emperor’s College, where Dr. Kim served as President (6:51)
    • How Dr. Kim navigated the emotional and practical realities of letting go (10:00)
    • The importance of responsibility during times of institutional change (14:40)

    • The wisdom Dr. Kim offers to anyone facing an uncertain transition (46:51)
