Acerca de esta escucha
This podcast begins by discussing the different types of hydropower and considers the carbon and methane emissions of larger hydro power projects. We then discuss hydro's taxonomy and financing, grid capacity/ smart grids and think about what policy is needed to make it possible to sell hydro locally. We include various examples of community hydro projects in Wales, Cumbria and Reading and being inspired by the passion and innovation of members and volunteers.
Hosted by Ciara Shannon, Director, Green Finance Community Hub with Kate Gilmartin, Community Energy Investment Lead, Rural Community Energy Fund NW (now CEO of the British Hydro Association (BHA), Adam Cropper, Project Director, Ellergreen Hydro and Sophie Paul former chair of Reading Hydro.
