Scams seek out credibility through any number of ways including: ranking high in Google (SEO), marketing, paid press and media, advertising campaigns, building connections and ties to institutions, associations, authorities, and professionals, endorsements (from influencers like celebrities and athletes) reviews and testimonials (paid or fake), philanthropy and social causes, and more. Scams desperately need credibility so they try to get it from any number of means. Scams come in the form of investment scams, ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, products with false and deceptive claims, unethical business practices, and many multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes. #Scams #Fraud #MLM
