How Do You Know When God is Speaking to You?

You may wonder sometimes if God is actually speaking to you or if it's just a thought from your own mind. I know we both have been there and it's easy to talk ourselves in or out of hearing from our Creator. Sometimes we lack the faith to believe He is speaking, or sometimes we may be getting in the way of actually hearing His voice due to all the external noice and voices that surround us. It's vital in our walk with God to not just learn His character through the scriptures but to also spend intentional 1 on 1 time with Him in prayer. In that intimacy, we can get to know Him more and more and get more clarity on the direction we should choose to take.
