  • A Day of Burning: Escaping the judgements of God soon to be poured out.
    Oct 21 2025

In this sobering address, The Quiet Dissident recounts a hard-won gift of the Spirit and the divine correction that taught him its true source. What follows is a prophetic message not of his own choosing, but of the Lord’s: a scriptural witness of impending judgment upon a rebellious world and a lukewarm church.

Drawing from Nahum, Habakkuk, and Doctrine & Covenants, this episode testifies that President Nelson’s labor of heart preparation has reached its close, and that President Oaks may now stand as a sign of prophetic judgement in a day of decision.

The time for smooth things has passed. What remains is how we might still, even now, through repentance and humility, apply the atoning blood of Christ that the wrath may pass over us. And experience the piercing joy of His amazing grace.

  • Coming into the Light — Learning to search the mysteries, by study and by faith.
    Jul 29 2025

Many find temple ordinances bewildering at first — rich in symbolism, but low in explanation. This episode is for those who want to press further.

Building on the idea that scripture can be read in temple context, we trace the pattern of light and ascent embedded in the endowment. Why does the Lord use such density of symbol? Why are some things withheld? And what can faithful study do to help us see what we’ve missed?

We explore tools like the PaRDeS framework and show how careful definition — even of a single phrase — can open new scriptural vistas. But the deepest things are spiritually discerned. Study alone is insufficient. We will need faith, and action born of faith, if we hope to come fully into the light.

  • This Ignorant Peasant: The edges of faith and my personal reawakening.
    Jul 3 2025

What do you do when God goes quiet? When scripture no longer speaks and prayer echoes back with nothing but silence? In this deeply personal episode, The Quiet Dissident departs from doctrinal exposition, to recount his own wrestle with doubt, divine absence, and the perilous beauty of choosing faith anyway. From spiritual drought to a flood of revelation, this testimony traces a return to the Father, to Christ, and to the Book of Mormon.

If you've known the ache of spiritual dryness or feared that your best days of discipleship are behind you, this episode may challenge you. But hopefully, it will comfort you also. It points us not to easy answers, but to an enduring truth: that the Lord does not forsake His covenant people. And even in our ignorance, even in our peasantry, He still calls us back.
