    On the cusp of the University of Hawaii's first conference play for the 2025--2026 season, Jeff and Jackson return for an all-new Hoops Talk presented by Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. After a thorough analysis of the past week for UH and the conference, the guys turn to former UH assistant coach and current TCU Head Coach Jamie Dixon for a great conversation about the start of the season. After thinking our next guest couldn't be reached today, Jeff and Jackson quickly pivot and talk with St. Mary's head coach Randy Bennett for a brief moment about his season so far. Finally, longtime local sportswriter Brian McInnis joins the show to give his observations about the season so far and puts out a call for fans to come to UH games--they're a good team this year!

They then pause to talk with Sarah Foy, one of the organizers for the Coaches Against Cancer event Saturday night. The focus turns to a UH legend--"AC", Anthony Carter--who joins the guys live from Miami to talk about the honors he will receive from UH this upcoming season. HPU men's head coach Jesse Nakanishi stops by to talk about his program and their early success. And Brian McInnis of Specrum Sports wraps up the show with the guys to make predictions about the outcome of this week's tournament and more.

    Another college basketball season has come and gone--and now that we have a national champion (Florida), Jeff and Jackson look back on the season that was. Nationally, it seemed like the game gained some momentum as the NCAA continues to figure out NIL money and transfers. Locally, the UH men's team didn't even make the conference tourney. Jeff and Jackson talk about all of this with Norm Parrish, head coach at Westminster College who knows players transferring to Hawaii next year. Andy Newman, head coach at Cal State Northridge, talks about the Big West and what to look forward to next year. And finally, Brian McGinnis (who has done so much for us this year!) joins the guys one more time to talk about UH and what the future holds for both the team and head coach Eran Ganot.
