  • HiddenTrack #280 BADVRIL (Becket Schroeder and Tessa Piccillo)
    Dec 4 2025

BADVRIL is an active American grunge band based in San Francisco, known for their "chaotic, narcotic grunge sound" that blends small-town isolation with the energy of city life. The band is led by Becket Schroeder and closely accompanied by Tessa Piccillo.

"BADVRIL is a band that thrives on the tension between small-town isolation and the frenetic energy of city life. Originally from the backwoods of Washington, Badvril now calls San Francisco home. The contrast between two worlds is central to their chaotic, narcotic grunge sounding visually arresting art. Led by Becket Schroder and closely accompanied by Tessa Piccolo, the duo brings their personal experiences together to create the narrative that defines the Badvril identity."

"Badvril’s debut album “IN HEAVEN” didn’t premier at a trendy club or online drop-it was first played for inmates at Washington State Penitentiary. A bold introduction that speaks volumes about what Badvril stands for: unfiltered honesty, defiance of convention, and a deep connection to the overlooked."

  • HiddenTrack #279 CELEBRATION SUMMER (Greg,Chris,Nate, and Dan)
    Nov 27 2025

CELEBRATION SUMMER is a melodic punk band from Washington, DC that formed in late 2019 when bassist Greg Raelson set out to channel the sound and spirit of the late ’80s/early ’90s punk he grew up on. Joined by guitarist Dan Hauser and singer/guitarist Nate Falger, the band later solidified its lineup with powerhouse drummer Chris Ricci.

With a rhythm section driven by Raelson’s melodic bass lines and Ricci’s dynamic drumming, layered with Hauser’s urgent guitars and Falger’s emotive lyrics and angular riffs, Celebration Summer crafts anthemic, thoughtful songs that reflect the struggles, tension, and hope of modern-day America.

Their name pays homage to Hüsker Dü’s classic song Celebrated Summer and DC’s pivotal “Revolution Summer” of 1985, blending legacy and intent.

  • HiddenTracks #278 HIDDEN CABINS (Craig Cirinelli)
    Nov 20 2025
Currently based out of both New Jersey and North Carolina, Hidden Cabins is an eclectic, indie alt-folk group comprised of Craig Cirinelli (microphone/hand percussion) & Brian Hofgesang (guitars/textures), writing melodic songs with a simplified vision, yet complex emotive flair. Far reaching exposure has seen the duo journey both within and outside of the US on multiple trips to England, reaching Scotland, Spain and Canada, to perform.
After years of solely performing as a duo, Hidden Cabins expanded their sound by joining up with drummer Rich Perry and bassist Jason DelGuidice, recording an EP as a four piece aptly titled The Hidden Cabins Band, which widened the scope of their sound. This EP arrived on indie labels Engineer Records (UK) and Pyrrhic Victory Recordings (US). Within their active gigging schedule, the band played intermittently as a four-piece thereafter, when an out-of-state relocation within the band resulted in the group's hiatus. in 2018. Enter 2024, Brian and Craig reignited Hidden Cabins, recording a new batch of material while also rebooting their live set, gigging between duo, trio and four-piece band sets after longtime friends Brian Leahy and Tom Conti energetically joined the fold. This flexibility of delivering their songs has brought Hidden Cabins back to rooms near and far.

  • HiddenTrack #274 ACTOR OBSERVER (Greg Marquis)
    Oct 23 2025

Since the release of their debut full length in 2015, ACTOR OBSERVER from Boston, MA have become a well-respected musical force throughout New England. Their dynamic sound and electric live performance are charged with a visceral sincerity and vulnerability that audience members find refreshing in the current age of post-hardcore. On 2022’s ‘Songs For The Newly Reclusive’ the quintet explored a broad range of emotional and musical depth, confronting topics of gentrification, toxic masculinity, generational trauma, and isolation amidst a clamoring world in distress. The resulting sound was their most focused and impactful album yet, garnering them a spot on the 2023 Boston Calling Music Festival (alongside legacy acts such as Foo Fighters, Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age) and a tour with metalcore heavyweights He Is Legend. After kicking off 2025 opening for The Used at House of Blues in Boston, AO signed with Dynamic Talent International for booking. Since then they have toured all over the eastern half of the US, northeast Canada with Kaonashi, and released two new singles, with a third on the way.
