January means a new year of camping plans which includes the potential for...camping kitties! We met some really cute kittens but it wasn't meant to be, at least not yet. Also, our NYE party was a good time, as usual, as was our 23rd wedding anniversary. We got bit with the nostalgia bug, getting to see Labyrinth in the theatre for it's 40th anniversary. Quick mentions of Olive's grilled cheese of the week (K gives it two thumbs up).

TW: pet death, grief

So there's a special button that needs to pressed on the audio equipment to properly power the microphones. On our 3rd on-location at Mauthe Lake, our 46th episode, we didn't press it. And we got cocky, and didn't bother with headphones, otherwise we would have caught it.

After much debate, we decided to release the episode anyway to share the content, even though this does not reflect our normal audio quality. Despite this hiccup, we had a wonderful time at Mauthe Lake again:
