Hey there friend, I'm Lindy Schlabach, Christian Fitness & Nutrition Coach, encourager and friend. I gained 100 pounds in my late twenties and struggled for years to get it off. Seven years ago I found a basic system that worked and has helped me lose over 90 of those pounds. I’ve been working with women in online fitness and nutrition ever since.

  • From Shame to Stewardship - A Faith Based Approach to Body Image
    Jul 14 2025

    Psalm 139:14 says – “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.”

    • I’d like to challenge you to do 3 things this week as you begin to pray and ask God to work in this area of your life?

    • #1- Speak aloud 3 truths about your body from Scripture. I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I know this full well. I am a child of the Most High God. He knows me, He numbered the hair on my head, He chose me before Genesis 1. Which will you cling to today?

    • #2- Declutter social media or habits that feed comparison. Listen, social media is keeping you from healing here. Let’s be real. You’re wasting time that could be spent walking or prepping or reading or sleeping. Put your phone down and live your life!

      # 3- Practice 1 loving act of stewardship: hydration, rest, gentle movement, food prep, being present with the people you’re with. Find peace knowing that God will provide when you seek Him with all your heart.

    • Holy Father, I repent of the ways I’ve spoken shame over my body. Teach me to steward this temple with grace, not guilt. Thank you for new mercies each day and your constant reminder that I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

  • The Scale Isn't the Final Say: What God Says About Your Weight Loss

    1 Samuel 16:7 (NLT) – “People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

    Here are 3 things you can do NOW to work towards viewing your body as God does.

    • Journal 3 non-scale victories from the past week. NON-SCALE, more water, less screen time, more steps, more bible time…what’s yours?


    • Pray and ask God what He sees in your progress. Ask Him to inspire your prayer and health journey to reflect what He would have you do.


    • Choose 1 new habit goal that honors your body instead of obsessing over your weight. Maybe give your scale away or choose to weigh in once a week regardless of what you did.

    “Lord, thank You that You see my heart. Help me to value progress through Your eyes and not be discouraged by what the scale says. I trust You with my body and my journey.”

  • Weight Loss Without a Schedule: How to Stay on Track When Life’s Unpredictable
    Jul 7 2025
    • 1 Corinthians 4:2 says “Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.”
      • This verse Teaches us that chaos doesn’t cancel our calling — we are still called to steward.
      • We are called to steward our gifts well, our time, finances, our children and marriage. There will be seasons where we always feel in chaos, but God is still good and we still have to walk in Holy Spirit obedience.

    • I want you to consider a few Anchor habits - An anchor habit is a non-negotiable routine: Here are a few examples:
      • 10-min morning prayer time, reading the word or a devotional of some type. Maybe it’s water before coffee (this is one of mine) or a walk after dinner. Maybe it’s a quick workout before you touch your phone or check your email.
      • Find a Grace rhythm: rotate routines, plan rest or quiet no screen time, take a bath or play a game with your family. Volunteer, do something that fills your cup.
      • Habit stacking: pair a habit with something you already do. What healthy habits do you already have in place? Maybe a solid morning routine but you still check your phone or don’t drink enough water, this would be a great place to set a boundary for no phones until lunch time and water before coffee.

    • Create your flexible structure and remember cultivating this habit may take time, that's ok!
      • Choose one Anchor habit in the morning and 1 “grace habit” in the evening.
      • Track it. Start journaling what habits you do when and which you enjoy the most. But remember, we track with grace, not guilt.
