In this episode, we examine the powerful teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad on poverty and want as outlined in Message to the Blackman in America. This discussion makes clear that poverty and want are not permanent conditions, but conditions that can be removed through unity, discipline, and independence.
The Messenger taught that one of his foremost priorities was to keep our people out of the breadlines and guide us toward building something of our own. He showed that dependence on others will never solve our problems, and that true freedom requires collective effort, shared sacrifice, and nation-building—not just individual success.
We also address the urgency of our time. With rapid advancements in automation and artificial intelligence replacing many forms of labor, the window to act is narrowing. The need to organize, study, and build for ourselves has never been greater.
This episode is a call to action:
- Study the Messenger’s scriptures
- Share this Teaching with others
- Work together to build independence
- Commit to doing something for ourselves as a people
We meet weekly and welcome all who are sincere about growth, learning, and building for the future.
