Held in Motion: Breaking boxes, blurring lines, & imagining the possibilities.

These recordings are my sense-making explorations of humans & their systems. Think, the multidimensional intersections of things like science, tech, psychology, sociology, language, the practice of philosophy, etc. No expertise, here. Just a curious mind that thrives on wrestling with the complex whys, because anything else isn't nearly as fun.

"Welcome to Vegas. I thought I might share with you a few pictures, maybe from a slightly different perspective than you used to seeing. Some of you may know I used to go to the World Series of poker every summer for six weeks. And during that time, almost all of the casinos are running their own tournament series as well."

"Then I read an article this morning that is talking about eight different up and coming robots that have been developed and are nearly ready to be more widely spread in their being accessible. I put a link to this article below as well. I think what stood out to me were a few things. One, how quickly things have been instead of being in their separate silos of this is robotics, this is AI. Whatever the different categories are, there's a melding of these things together."

"I mean, I know plenty of Sci-Fi books that define it in different ways, but let's say this thing is indestructible, maybe similar to the tardigrade water bear, moss, Piglet. That happens to you. I think I learned that one didn't do today. Moss, Piglet. I like that one. If it's. But not just nearly indestructible. If the living organism is like, you cannot kill it, is it still alive?"
