In this episode of Generations at the Table, Megann Marcellino discusses the Hebrew month of Nisan, established in Exodus 12:2 as the "beginning of months", and home to the feast of Passover.

In Exodus, we see that Nisan is marked by themes of miracles, deliverance, and redemption. God rescued the Israelites from captivity, restored their true identity in Him, and birthed them as a nation. But before they could step into their destiny, the idolatry of Egypt had to be rejected. The mindset of a slave had to be cast out. Likewise, Nisan calls us to root out idolatry, repent of false mindsets, and shift to an identity rooted in freedom.
