Are You Working Smarter... Or Just Harder?

We’ve all heard the famous saying: work smarter, not harder. But in the online business world, I’ve noticed a growing epidemic where so many people are, in fact, working harder, not smarter—especially when it comes to business strategy.

On this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, let’s get real about what working smarter really means, the spaghetti-at-the-wall analogy that will make it all click, and the one thing that truly turns a strategy from “just more work” into actual, sustainable growth.

Okay, let’s get honest for a minute: As business owners, most of us have felt at least once (probably more) that running a business is just hard. It can feel complicated, like there's always this tangled knot of to-dos and projects and strategies. If you ask almost anyone what feeling they want to eliminate from their day-to-day, it’s overwhelm.

While you might think the answer is to invest in things that make life easier—software, strategies, courses, support—sometimes what we’re really buying is just more complexity. So in this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I want to break down exactly how you can tell if you’re buying strategic ease… or just making things harder. I’ll give you my best tools to assess, simplify, and accelerate your business without piling on more overwhelm.

  • #479: Epic first launches and their competitive advantage - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast
    Jun 15 2025

Full show notes and links at: tashcorbin.com/479

Do you ever see someone having a wildly successful first course or program launch, and wonder how they did it? Maybe they tell you, “I made a five-figure launch and didn’t even run ads!” or “I sold thirty spots with a tiny mailing list.” It sounds amazing. But rarely do we hear what gave them their competitive advantage—what allowed these epic first launches to succeed when others struggle.

In this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I’m pulling back the curtain. I’ll share four real first-launch stories—these aren’t my launches, but those of clients and peers I’ve worked with closely over the years. I’ll break down what their true competitive advantage was, and what you can look for (or build!) in your own business to help your next launch shine.

  • #478: Addressing 'the big lie' of online business - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast
    Jun 8 2025

Full show notes and links at: tashcorbin.com/478

We’ve all seen the shiny promises of online business: Make six figures in your pyjamas! Work only two days a week! Just post on social media and the money rolls in while you’re at the beach!

Today, I want to dig deep into why these ideas are so compelling—and so misleading.

This episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast was inspired by Lisa Twohig, who responded to my earlier episode about the missing link between socials and sales. Lisa’s thoughtful video called out what she calls “the big lie” of online business. If you’ve ever bought into the passive income dream—or felt like you’re the only one not making it work—this conversation is for you.

  • #477: Introvert-friendly social media strategy - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast
    Jun 5 2025

Full show notes and links at: tashcorbin.com/477

If you've seen the title of today’s episode and know me, you might be a little confused. Yes, this is an episode all about introvert-friendly social media strategies, and yes, it’s from me, Tash Corbin—the self-confessed raging extrovert. So you might be wondering: “Tash, how could you possibly teach me introvert-friendly ways to use social media? How do you even know what’s introvert-friendly if you’re not one of us?”

Here’s the thing—what I’m sharing isn’t just “Tash-approved.” These are strategies that are introvert-approved, too, and have helped so many of my clients and listeners who are introverts themselves. It’s actually one of the most common things I hear: that people hold back from being consistent on social media because it’s just too much. It can feel overwhelming, like too many eyes on you, too much “peopling,” as I hear again and again.

But let’s be real: in a lot of ways, the internet was built by introverts for introverts. And showing up online can be way more manageable than we think, especially when we set it up in a way that genuinely lights us up (and doesn’t drain us). That’s what I want to unpack today, step-by-step. Let’s dive into what actually makes a social media strategy feel good (and productive!) if you’re an introvert.

    Let’s get started.
