Today on Wake Up, we’re in James 4:7 📖 talking about a truth we often quote but don’t always apply fully.
We love the promise part of the verse, “Resist the devil and he will flee” 🔥 That’s the victory. That’s the breakthrough. But that promise is activated by the first command, Submit yourselves therefore to God 🙌
Submission is not a feeling. It’s an action 💪 It’s choosing daily to surrender your thoughts, words, attitudes, and reactions to God and trust Him completely.
We look at Daniel as a powerful example 🦁 Daniel lived a life of consistent submission. He prayed daily, privately, and faithfully. So when pressure came and the decree was issued, he didn’t panic, compromise, negotiate, or scramble. He simply kept doing what he had always done, and God did the rest 🙏
That consistent submission built authority, peace, and confidence. Daniel was unfazed because his trust in God was already established ❤️ Submission created authority, and authority caused the enemy to flee.
This message also shows how obedience produces generational blessing 👨👩👧👦 The faith you live today is often the harvest your children and grandchildren walk in tomorrow, even if they don’t realize it yet.
If you’re dealing with negative thoughts, discouragement, temptation, or pressure, this episode will remind you that you have the power to resist 💥 Submit the thought to God, exchange it for truth, and walk in the authority He’s already given you.
