    The Witness Files – Case 01: Waiting on the Other Side begins a new series exploring deeply personal true paranormal stories centred on presence, connection, and the possibility that love may continue beyond death. Sent in by Jenny, this case spans generations, wartime London, a haunted fire station in Bethnal Green, and a promise made between two people that may never have been broken.

    The story begins with Jenny’s mother, who as a young girl in Peckham during the Second World War, experienced unexplained voices in her bedroom — two women speaking in a language she could not understand. Years later, after moving into a fire station flat in 1950s London, further strange activity followed. Objects moved, a man was heard whistling along to wartime songs, and a child described a figure standing at the end of the bed during storms. Even scepticism within the family would later soften when others admitted to sensing a presence in the flat.

    The account then moves forward to experiences after Jenny’s father passed away — sightings in a cathedral, an electronic game seemingly playing by itself, and a powerful message delivered through a medium. At the heart of it all is a promise made decades earlier: that whichever one passed first would wait for the other. The music is memorable, like the x-files theme, it is easy to recall. The narratives are objectively and mindfully relayed. It keeps one intrigued, never saturating listeners conclusively, rather like Mulder leading us to believe the Truth is Out There. Yes I’m an Xfiles aficionado, but how can one not be!

It’s the only compelling paranormal podcast!

This is the first podcast I've ever been able to sit down and enjoy! I've listened to almost every episode in the space of a week. My favorites are the Listeners Stories. I think part of the reason this podcast is so enjoyable is that the host has a very friendly yet professional voice, and of course the subject matter is quite fascinating. I appreciate the lack of advertising interruptions as well as the trigger warnings.
