Harold B. Lee’s early life on a farm taught him discipline, hard work, and faith—qualities that shaped his leadership. Rising from teacher to apostle and eventually President of the Church, he played a key role in developing the Church welfare program during the Great Depression. Though his time as prophet was brief, his teachings on obedience and spiritual guidance had a lasting impact on the Church and its members.
