I have been watching Diana's posts about the devistation her family and so many others were experiencing after the Category 5 Hurrican Melissa came ripping through that beautiful country.

I wanted to try to help in anyway possible, she shared what her family and others are going through in Jamaica, no homes, no buildings, no safe places to go. Some of her family members are living in their car.

People are taking what they can salvage and trying to live under that, while hoodlums and others are robbing them of the little that they have left.

LeQuan's story is very relatable to many. His parents were very young when they had him and he ended up living with his grandparents. His father was not in his life he was incarcerated. His grandmother did her best to keep him off the streets even moving to different cities.

Throughout LeQuan's life he dealt with a lot of insecurities as well as abandonment and trust issues.

This is a life long story of Struggles to Strength.

Carolyn is very vunerable in sharing her story from having Head Lice, to being SA to not sure where she was going in life, To becoming pregnant by a married man. Just when you think Carolyn's story is finally at the Strength at the age of 30 she gets side swiped by another Wammy!!!!

She has an amaning story and her attitude towards the cards that were dealt to her is a true testimony in believing that God has her all the time!!!

Tommy's book I WILL OVERCOME (A Story of Love, Hope & Forgiveness) really caught my attention.

Tommy grew up in an abusive home, drugs, alcohol and gang activity. Navigating through struggles throughout his childhood, Tommy had overcome many things that should of knocked him down and could of kept him there.

Tommy chose to take his struggles to help others with Mental Health Awareness!!

I had the pleasure of Ty sharing his story of how his life has changed after numerous times of incarceration. He called them trips.

He shares with us the courses he took while in prison to help him rewire his mindset so when he got out he wouldn't go back again.

He was a teacher at a Barber College in Florida, he has many certifications in different industries. Now he's working on getting his CDL License.

This is a reminder that with the right mindset and determination we can do things that we put our mind to.

We chatted about how felons will come out of prison and use excuses as to why they can't find a good job & he said something powerful to me. "I know I can't be a Dr or a Lawyer but there are a lot of things I CAN be so that's what I pursued."
