Gryla and The Yule Lads (Redux)

Happy Holidays everyone! This week we are revisiting one of the most horrific holiday folklore figures Iceland has to offer: The child eating ogress Gryla and her terrible offspring, the Yule Lads.

Dave covered this years ago but figured it was time to give it a redo for reasons that will become clear once you listen, plus Sarge really loves the idea of the Yule Lads and it felt wrong to deprive him the pleasure of learning about this gem of Christmas folklore.
