The tense face-off between the townsfolk and bandits is disturbed by the sudden appearance of Brother Odell; a Disciple of Darkness; two traders; and Lidi Juxon ... all of whom are dead! There's a horde of undead rising from the grave yards beyond the town, a vision that points the characters at the Temple of Korlita, and a strange presence over its altar. Sir Windemer leads the way, Valeria adopts her otherworldly form, and Merle bolsters their courage with song. Then, mist clouds and smokey blades; a flood of tar and thrashing tendrils; and finally, a sea of horrors and a contest of Wills ...
