In Galatians 4:4-7, we see what the Christmas story is all about. In the greatest love story of all, God sent Jesus to be born of a woman in order to redeem us and adopt us into His family.

Jesus became what we are so that we can become what He is.

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. (Galatians 4:4-5)

In Acts 7, Stephen is stoned death after sharing and defending his faith before the religious leaders of his day. As Stephen died, the Spirit led and empowered him to forgive those who were stoning him to death.
