In Mark chapter 1 verses 9 - 13 we are given an account of two events that focus our sight on Jesus.
The first has to do with our Lord coming from Nazareth in Galilee to the Jordan river where John the Baptist was baptizing. Here Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan.
Here, in verses 9-11, is one of the first times the Trinity of God is revealed.
Jesus is baptized, the Holy Spirit descends upon the Lord and the voice of the Father comes from heaven in commendation of the Lord Jesus.
Then secondly, we see the savior, driven by the Spirit into the wilderness and tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts and angels ministered to Him.
