Good morning Vietnam, waking up to self-confidence 101 with Beauty Queen Mechelle

Growing up beauty was very externalised to me. My mum used to say to me, for girls beauty is determined by a beautiful set of teeth and long lushes hair, if not good luck finding a husband honey. And if you still haven’t found a husband by 25, well consider yourself sour milk so better hurry up! Ahem... so pretty much blue cheese by now you might say… Anywho, what I wasn’t taught is that beauty is so much more than that! Throughout my travels, I had the honour of meeting Miss Mechelle beauty queen at only sweet 16 and no this isn’t just your typical beauty pageant story. This is a story that stuck with me until today, learning about beauty is will power and determination fighting through the tough times and still keeping your head up high. I am talking about that SELF-CONFIDENCE! What better way to brush up on my shit Vietnamese this week as we head over to Ha Noi to visit my queen for some beauty tips and self-confidence 101.
