  • Oh lawd he comin! America's second crack at Godzilla is a chonky thicc absolute unit, and he's in a surprisingly artful and bleak disaster film from director Gareth Edwards. We talk about the on-the-ground approach to visuals, the military's involvement in the writing process (and some weak themes and characterization as a result), how the MUTOs just want to kiss and did nothing wrong, why the Monsterverse stands out among other cinematic universes, and more.
