Exodus 3:1-10, Hebrews 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 2:9-16

God spoke in many brazen ways in Biblical times. From the Burning Bush, to the Mount of Transfiguration, we see God speaking to His people all throughout the Bible. The problem is, today we sometimes feel as though for God to speak to us it has to be in some similar kind of glaring display of His power. However, in His Word, God tells us that He is speaking to us in a much different, and albeit better, fashion. As believers, we now have the Holy Spirit living within us that unites us directly with the mind of our Lord. We can hear Him speak louder than even an audible voice. He can now speak directly to our hearts. And make no mistake, God is speaking. The question is: am I listening?

You will hear 2 different voices in these recordings. Troy Westmoreland and Cory Martinez are the co-pastors of Bald Mountain Baptist Church. They alternate on a semi-regular basis, and our prayer is that their insights from the Word of God may richly bless all those who stop by our neck of the woods!

The calling for every Christian is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Well, where does the earth begin and where does it end? For us at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, the world begins in the Shumont Community on top of a little peak in Buncombe County, NC. Our prayer is that through this platform we might do our part in reaching the ends of the earth with the gospel!
