  • Bonus: Maggie O'Farrell talks Hamnet, Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley
    Jan 7 2026

Surprise! We have a bonus episode this week: an interview with the fabulous author Maggie O'Farrell about her book Hamnet and the making of the new film Hamnet, directed by Chloé Zhao and starring our own Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley. It's in cinemas this Friday (9 January).

We sat down with Maggie during her whistle-stop visit to Dublin (for the premiere of Hamnet at the Light House) and caught a few minutes with her. She talked to us about writing the script, casting Paul and Jessie, and the raves that took place on set.
