  • Psalm 31 | Blessed Assurance
    Mar 16 2026

Psalm 31 – Blessed Assurance | Genesis Church Orlando

What do you do when panic, loss, and unanswered questions all start to stack up at once? When your mind won’t slow down, your body feels the weight, and God seems silent or far away?

In this sermon from Genesis Church Orlando, we open Psalm 31 and lean into the theme “Blessed Assurance” — discovering how God meets us when affliction surrounds us on every side. Through Scripture, real‑life story, and honest reflection, we see that God’s presence doesn’t always remove the storm, but He covers us right in the middle of it.

In this message we look at:

    • How anxiety and worry affect our whole person — mind, body, and soul
    • David’s raw prayer in Psalm 31 and why biblical lament is an act of faith, not doubt
    • “When affliction surrounds, God still sees” – you are never unseen in your pain
    • “When fear surrounds, God still steadies” – God as our rock, refuge, and fortress
    • “When lies surround, God’s truth covers” – letting God’s verdict be louder than shame
    • How Jesus fulfills Psalm 31 on the cross: “Into your hands I commit my spirit”
    • A powerful testimony of panic, job loss, grief… and God’s faithful assurance

    Key passage: Psalm 31 (with focus on verses 1–5, 7–10, 11–15, 17–24)

    This sermon is especially for:

    • Those battling anxiety, depression, or panic
    • Anyone walking through grief, betrayal, or financial pressure
    • Believers who feel forgotten, overlooked, or surrounded by hardship
    • Followers of Jesus who need language to pray when they don’t know what to say

Our prayer is that you will:

    • Honestly name where you feel surrounded right now
    • Entrust your life and circumstances into God’s hands with the prayer of Psalm 31

    Hold onto this truth:

Affliction may surround you, but in Jesus, Assurance still covers you

Join us as we pursue the presence of God together at Genesis Church Orlando and learn to cling to the blessed assurance we have in Christ

  • Psalm 42 | As the deer pants...
    Mar 8 2026

In this week’s message, we explore Psalm 42, a powerful and deeply honest psalm about spiritual longing, discouragement, and hope in God. The psalmist captures the tension many believers experience—thirsting for God while wrestling with seasons of sorrow, doubt, and feeling distant from His presence.

Through the imagery of a deer longing for water, Psalm 42 reminds us that our souls were created to depend on God alone. Even when our hearts feel overwhelmed, the psalm calls us to speak truth to our souls and place our hope in the Lord again.

If you’ve ever asked, “Why am I so discouraged?” or felt spiritually dry, this teaching will encourage you to rediscover hope, worship in the midst of hardship, and trust that God is still near.

    Mar 1 2026

How Long, O Lord? | A Teaching on Psalm 13

In this episode, we unpack Psalm 13 — a heartfelt prayer of lament where David cries out, “How long, O Lord?”

This message walks through the emotional journey of the psalm: from feeling forgotten, to boldly asking God for help, to ultimately declaring trust in His unfailing love. We explore how seasons of delay don’t mean God’s absence, and how honest lament can actually deepen our faith.

If you’ve ever wrestled with unanswered prayers or prolonged waiting, this episode will speak directly to your heart and remind you that trust is not built when everything feels good — it’s formed in the waiting.

Listen in and be encouraged to move from “How long?” to “I will trust.”

  • Psalms 34 | Come Taste and See
    Feb 22 2026

Come Taste and See – A Study Through Psalm 34

Psalm 34 is more than poetry — it’s an invitation.

In this episode, we unpack David’s call to “taste and see that the Lord is good” and explore what it looks like to experience God personally in the middle of fear, hardship, and uncertainty.

We talk about: • Choosing praise before the breakthrough • Seeking God as a lifestyle, not a last resort • The fear of the Lord as the pathway to real life • God’s nearness to the brokenhearted

This conversation will encourage you to move from simply knowing about God to truly experiencing His goodness.

Take a moment today to pause, reflect, and ask yourself: Have I tasted and seen — or have I only heard?

If this episode encourages you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that the Lord is good.
