Gastineau Community School Ocean Guardian Program

Gastineau Community School Principal Stacy Diouf joins Capital Chat to talk about the school's Ocean Guardians program.

The Alaskan Ocean Guardian School Program engages K-12 students and teachers from across the state to expand awareness and lead actions to address ocean and watershed conservation needs in their school and local community. Each school makes a commitment to the protection and conservation of its local watersheds, the world’s ocean, and special ocean areas by proposing and then implementing school- or community-based conservation projects. This web-page is dedicated to sharing outcomes from the efforts taking place in Alaska schools.
