The NCAA Tournament is finally here! Selection Sunday kicked things off as we found out who made the tournament and who they will play. BYU will face Texas on Thursday at 5:25 MDT in Portland! West coast BYU fans will make their presence felt. They are likely set for an old rivalry against the Gonzaga Bulldogs if they beat the Longhorns.

I preview which games are going to be the best and upsets to look out for. Every year, there are some fantastic upsets and Cinderella stories. The tournament last year was odd in that it featured only 4 upsets. I believe the universe will correct itself this year and return to its perfect state. The Cougars of Brigham Young University are here to play real basketball. Once they snapped their 3-game losing streak by beating Texas Tech at home on senior night, they gained energy and grit moving forward. This was BYU’s first win against Texas Tech since joining the Big 12. Rob Wright III led BYU with 29 points, and Khadim Mboup was a monster on the offensive glass.

In Kansas City, BYU came to play. They beat Kansas State 105-91 and West Virginia 68-48, avenging their previous loss in Morgantown. They will face the Cougars in red on Thursday night. At this point, they have a 6-seed locked in for March Madness. A win would boost our ranking, but a loss wouldn’t hurt. BYU gave Cougars fans hope after they took down Iowa State, a projected 1-seed in the NCAA tournament, on Saturday night! AJ Dybantsa had another masterpiece to add to his phenomenal scoring in February. He is the alpha of this team moving forward and will have to play a full 40 minutes in most of their games.

March Madness is under three weeks away! Get excited, because it’s almost the season for non-stop basketball. It’s the season for filling out brackets, eating food, and watching games all weekend. BYU is a projected 6-seed as of right now. Team USA took down Canada in Ice Hockey to win Olympic Gold for the first time in 46 years! BYU beat Colorado on Jimmer Day, when his jersey was retired to the rafters forever. The halftime ceremony was short and sweet, fans were given free jerseys, and Jimmer Fredette cards were passed around! Unfortunately, Richie Saunders tore his ACL in the first 45 seconds of the game. He was the heart of the squad and a true leader. Without him, the team will take a step back in their trajectory.

BYU faces #4 Arizona and #6 Iowa State this week. Both games would be a Quad 1A win! In this episode, I share my insights on our trajectory moving forward. Richie’s grit and toughness set the bar for their goal: A Final Four appearance. If others can rise to the opportunity, this team could still make a run in March Madness. BYU snapped a 4-game losing streak in Waco, beating Baylor 99-94. Rob Wright III dropped 30 in his return to Baylor. With the help of AJ’s 36-point game, they silenced Baylor’s home crowd. BYU chants travelled well and could be heard in Foster Pavilion. The Cougars will have a lot of momentum moving forward!

In some exciting news for the Big 12 tournament, played in Kansas City, the Big 12 announced the addition of glass courts. This concept is state-of-the-art, and I give my insights into it. In San Francisco, Super Bowl LX was a snoozer as the Seahawks comfortably handled the Patriots. Elsewhere in the world, Milan is currently hosting the 2026 Winter Olympics! It’s the final week of football for a very long time, but you know what that means: Super Bowl LX! It will feature a rematch of XLIX between the Seahawks and Patriots. I give my prediction for who will win. It will take place in Santa Clara, CA — Home of the 49ers. Also, the 49ers announced on Thursday that they will play the Rams in the inaugural NFL Melbourne (Australia) Game!

BYU Men’s Basketball hosts the red-hot Houston Cougars Saturday night. They are on a 3-game losing skid and are looking to pull off the upset. A win would become their first win against the Cougars in the Big 12! Finally, I share the changes I would make to college football to renew its nostalgia. BYU won a big game against its rival, Utah, at home on Saturday. Two days later, they hosted #1 Arizona, looking to hand them their first loss of the season. The Cougars lost in a thriller, 86-83. They will play at Kansas in another Big 12 showdown Saturday afternoon. College Gameday is making the trip to the famous Allen Fieldhouse.

The Australian Open is currently in the men’s semifinals and women’s final! Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are both one victory away from another meeting in the final. Sinner is playing to defend his back-to-back titles, while Alcaraz looks to win the Australian Open and become the youngest player to win all four Grand Slams.
