Original dark science fiction stories, told as standalone narrated episodes. Ships, stations, labs and border worlds; deep-space missions, black projects, quarantined facilities and forgotten sectors where the plan makes sense on paper right up until it doesn’t.

These are slow-burn, grounded stories about technology, secrecy and the people caught in the gap between what was promised and what actually happens. If you like quiet dread, institutional cover-ups and futures that feel uncomfortably plausible, this is your channel.

  • 1980s Observatory Intercepted A Broadcast From The Future
    Apr 17 2026

    📖 Written by Galactic Horrors

In a retro-futurist 1980s town built around a radio observatory, a telescope operator intercepts a signal that contains grainy footage of his own death three days ahead. What begins as a private panic turns into a public contamination event when he goes to the location shown in the recording and finds the building already half-converted into humming white noise, its walls losing texture and detail whenever he looks away, as though the future broadcast is not predicting reality but preparing it. The signal behaves less like information than like an infection, arriving through analog systems and then seeping into streets, structures, and human routine.

  • The Soviet Union Teleported A Military Bunker To Mars In 1974 | Sci-Fi Story
    Apr 16 2026

    📖 Written by Galactic Horrors

An American Mars expedition breaches what looks like an ordinary subsurface anomaly and instead cuts into a buried Soviet bunker from the 1970s, complete with a frozen treeline entombed beneath Martian regolith, perimeter fencing, dead animals, and a watchtower still oriented toward an Earth sky that no longer exists. The discovery makes it impossible to treat the site as a simple lost outpost. A piece of Siberia was not metaphorically displaced; it was physically and disastrously embedded on Mars, bringing its soil, structures, and sealed military paranoia with it.

  • I'm A Void Welder. We Found Something Terrifying In The Outer Hull | Sci-Fi Story
    Apr 16 2026

    📖 Written by Galactic Horrors

A void welder on a deep-sector ship is pulled into a hull-side infestation that at first looks like exotic corrosion and turns out to be a coordinated alien machine ecology. The silicon insects are not merely consuming armor: they are wiring the ship’s outer skin into a living transmission organ. When a boarding drill goes wrong, the swarm breaches suit systems and uses conductive filaments to puppet armed crewmen into continuing repair work on the very structure that is dooming them, turning routine damage control into a close-quarters siege against their own people.

Cosmic horror should be much more of a thing than it is. I enjoy this podcast's stories immensely, as they're creative, and scratch that itch I have for both space and horror. Hopefully, we start seeing some film adaptations of them. Stories like these would be make a great Netflix anthology.

Love the stories!

AI content. Thumbs super down. Would have asked for money back if it wasn’t free.
