Did Lorelai actually think Rory could apply to ONE school? And was Richard’s scheming necessary?

  • 80. Stop hating T.J.!
    Feb 25 2026

Yes, we hear you - you think T.J. is annoying and mooches off of Luke. You think he’s a bit dramatic. But Jackie is here to present her case and convince you to love T.J. just a little bit more. Or, at least, not hate him so much!

The time he takes Luke’s beer? There’s a positive uptake. The way he pushes Luke’s buttons? It’s actually a good thing. His wedding speech? We loved it.

We also cover why T.J. is far superior to most of the men on Love is Blind season 10. Yeah, we’re looking at you, Alex and Chris!

  • 79. February Bonus: Lorelai & Sookie: Friendship, Fights, and the Dragonfly Inn
    Feb 18 2026

Lorelai Gilmore and Sookie St. James are not only best friends, but become business partners, too! Today we explore how they navigate friendship AND business, when they decided to open the Dragonfly Inn in Stars Hollow.

We answer questions like: why did they want to open an inn together? Where did they fail as business partners? What are the parallels to Rory showing Emily where they used to live? Did Lorelai use the Dragonfly Inn as a way to hide from her feelings (again)?

Plus, we dive into Lorelai and Sookie’s most epic fights, whether Sookie’s journey in A Year in the Life was realistic, and who could’ve taken Sookie’s place as co-owner of the Dragonfly.

  • 78. Damn, Donna Reed!
    Feb 11 2026

Rory Gilmore is playing dress-up for her boyfriend, and we’ve gotta unpack this! You can’t forget the Donna Reed night. The pearls, the dinner, the apron. But also, why did Rory go to all this trouble? Was it an apology, or a challenge?

That Damn Donna Reed episode of Gilmore Girls brings up tons of questions: did Dean Forrester always want a tradwife? Did Rory simply parrot Lorelai’s opinions? Was this a healthy argument for two teenagers newly in love, or a surefire sign that were all wrong for each other?

Today we dig deep into gender roles, 1950s TV shows, teenage love, feminine domesticity, Betty Friedan, Rory’s evolving feminism, and even Love is Blind. Grab your green jello and get ready for some fun!

  • 76. January Bonus: Jess Mariano the individualist: a romantic Enneagram 4
    Jan 21 2026

We’ve long suspected that Jess Mariano is an Enneagram 4 - the individualist, the romantic. But today we’re going deep to see if we’re right! ✨ This is an excerpt from a paid episode - to access the full episode, join our Patreon, where you’ll get extra bonus episodes every month at patreon.com/gabbinggilmore ✨

Jess wears a leather jacket, loves to read, and skips school a lot, but does this actually translate into his personality type? We also know that he hates chit chat, withdraws in times of stress, and has a deep feeling that he’s different from everyone else, or that something’s wrong with him.

Knowing his personality type definitely would’ve helped Liz, Luke, Rory, (and even Lorelai!) understand him better. In today’s Gilmore Girls deep dive, we analyze Jess through the enneagram, including his stress and security points, and his wing (can we say Bohemian?!). And most importantly, why he’s so dang awesome in Season 6 and A Year in the Life.

    Episodes mentioned:

    Jess, Welcome to Stars Hollow
