Ok. is the debut album of San Jose-based artist group GGPP, which was released on Friday, November 27, 2020. It was created from 2019â2020 during the Junior year of high school for the groupâs co-founders Alex Le & Ethan Thai. All tracks were produced and put together by Ethan Thai at various locations in San Jose, CA, including Independence High School. The album also includes collaborations from artists Marcel Garçon, yunhg, IHS UNICEF, and Anh Tran. Prior to the albumâs release, three singles were put out: âActual Fireâ on October 24, 2019, âChickenâ on December 25, 2019, and âVertigoâ on August 14, 2020. The album was publicly announced on November 20, 2020, a week before the albumâs release. The album overall is not meant to be taken seriously, instead aiming to express the creative styles of GGPP that have often been described as experimental, spontaneous, and manic at times. Akin to a memory book rather than a professionally articulated novel, the album avoids conforming to traditional standards for music to deliver a progressive story from start to finish. Filled with trap & hip-hop beats and a bedroom producer-esce style, the record aims to deliver a unique experience with every listen. Visual components were added on the Spotify version* of the album, with each track displaying an animated canvas background when played through the mobile app. Additionally, a complete, gapless album mix that includes the animated backgrounds was released on the YouTube channel for GGPP Studios, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMQlo2hsaCQ. *The album was intentionally removed from streaming services during the summer of 2022 by GGPP, with plans to republish it with updated metadata. However every time Ethan Thai has thought about resubmitting the album, he has the reoccurring belief that there is no point in doing so. Thinking honestly, no one is planning to listen to most of the album anyway (the singles can still be streamed), and those that are determined to listen to the album can find it on YouTube (linked above) or in this very podcast episode. In fact, submitting the album to streaming services again would likely push back the progress of modern music by at least a few years. As such, the album currently remains off streaming services. âââââ Album Tracklist: 00:00 â Track #01 â 01 [09.27.19] 01:02 â Track #02 â Actual Fire (with IHS UNICEF) 01:54 â Track #03 â My Song (with Anh Tran) [Radio Edit] 02:46 â Track #04 â 02 [12.20.19] 03:30 â Track #05 â Chicken (with IHS UNICEF) 04:33 â Track #06 â Please Help (with yunhg) 05:39 â Track #07 â 03 [01.11.20] 06:40 â Track #08 â Microwave (feat.
