    At the moment when JESUS was hanging on the cross, something remarkable happened.
    The disciples who had walked with JESUS for three and a half years were silent. The crowds were mocking. The religious leaders were criticizing.
    But one voice suddenly spoke up in defense of JESUS.
    Surprisingly, that voice belonged to a criminal hanging on the cross.
    In Luke 23, the repentant thief rebukes the other criminal and declares that JESUS had done nothing wrong. In that moment, the only person publicly testifying about JESUS was not a disciple, a preacher, or a theologian. It was a man who had just turned to JESUS in repentance.
    This episode is a powerful reminder that GOD can use anyone who is willing. You may feel unqualified, broken, or still figuring things out. But if you are willing to speak about JESUS, GOD can use your voice.
    Sometimes the most powerful testimonies come from the most unexpected people.

    The Gospel accounts tell us that both thieves mocked JESUS initially. Yet as time passed, something changed in the heart of one of them. One continued to mock… but the other repented and turned to JESUS in faith.
    This reminds us of a powerful truth:
    We may all start from the same place of sin, but we don’t have to end there.

    So David removed the armor and returned to what he knew best: his sling, his staff, and five smooth stones from the brook.
    To many people, David’s strategy may have looked crude, simple, or unprofessional compared to the armor and weapons of trained soldiers.
    But David understood something powerful.
    The battlefield is not the place to experiment with something unfamiliar. It is the place to use what GOD has already trained you with.
    Even the stones David selected were intentional. He chose smooth stones from the water, stones that were naturally shaped and balanced — perfect for the sling he had mastered as a shepherd.

    In First Book of Samuel 17, when David arrived at the battlefield, Goliath came out and taunted the armies of Israel.
    David began asking the soldiers about what would be done for the man who defeated Goliath. Interestingly, even though David’s own brothers were part of the army, the Bible shows that he asked other people in the camp instead of asking his brothers.
    This detail reveals an important lesson.
    Sometimes the people closest to us may not recognize the opportunity or the calling GOD has placed before us. In fact, when David’s brother Eliab later heard David speaking, he criticized and discouraged him.
    David did not allow those familiar voices to shut down the possibility of what GOD was about to do.
