  • A Healthy Path to Divorce with Regina DeAngelis
    Sep 27 2024

Regina DeAngelis is the owner and founder of Family Transitions Divorce Coaching & Mediation. Regina created her proprietary, alternative divorce process after going through her own, unnecessarily toxic, divorce. Despite her decades-long career as a divorce attorney, Regina found that she could not avoid her own traumatic divorce experience. As the mother to three children, her oldest with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive neuromuscular condition that robs her son of all physical function, she found that she and her husband grew further apart as they struggled to keep the balls of life in the air.

When she knew it was time to divorce, her husband insisted on the traditional system, which is designed to turn spouses into adversaries. This experience led Regina to create Family Transitions Divorce Coaching and Mediation, which guides couples through the “21st Century Family Transition” program. This proprietary program gives couples the support, guidance, and education needed to reach comprehensive, fair, settlement agreements and avoid courts and lawyers completely if they choose.

In this episode, we cover the power of language during divorce, how to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship and the benefits of staying in the family home during the transition. Regina also offers practical tips on setting boundaries when living together through divorce and how to create new family traditions post-divorce. Tune in to hear Regina's expert advice and her personal journey of rediscovering herself through the divorce process.

  • Reclaim Your Identity and Purpose in Midlife with Katrina Kloosters
    Sep 20 2024

We explore the journey of self-discovery in midlife with Katrina Klooster, a former educator turned entrepreneur. After checking all the boxes she thought were required for success, Katrina found herself feeling trapped, knowing she was meant for something different but unsure of what that was. She spent years overthinking, feeling stuck, and confused until hiring her first life coach at the age of 42. This decision sparked a transformation, and she began building her coaching business as a side hustle to help women build confidence, trust themselves, and pursue their bigger dreams.

Katrina shares how the desire for more initially drove her to believe she needed to do more, only to realize that doing less was the most frightening and freeing step. With her identity wrapped in ambition and achievement, she faced fears of losing herself without constant activity. In this episode, we discuss how she worked through those fears, took steps toward change, and modeled this behavior for her children. We also dive into how to give yourself permission to start fresh, rebuild your self-relationship, and overcome the fear of others’ opinions.
