Welcome to my recovery podcast From Darkness to Light Podcast. This podcast is all about helping people overcome the most negative situations in their lives, based upon negative people, wrong choices, and decisions, and following the rabbits down the rabbit hole to Wonderland a.k.a. negativity. When I think about this particular podcast, I think about Alice in Wonderland, and Alice followed the rabbit down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. And when Alice encountered the Mad Hatter and the queen of hearts, your co she realized how much she really truly was. And the Cheshire cat had to help her to get out of Wonderland. How God is The Cheshire cat when it comes to Trying to help us out when it comes to not going down the rabbit hole to Wonderland? To follow the rabbits down the rabbit hole in the first place? So we’re gonna be really dissecting the story of Alice in Wonderland and many other stories that read us when we were children’s stories were actually learning stories to teach us about the things that we go through when it comes to not only a childhood, but also adulthood that we shouldn’t have done. This podcast is all about helping people to overcome the darkness and negativity and their lives based upon the damage, impact, and affect that negativity based upon other people have done to your life. How to heal from the negative things that have been done to you by negative people? How to get out of Wonderland and to never to return to it? So, this podcast is all about helping people to recover from darkness, and negative situations that have caused you to hit Rockbottom, causing you to lose it all, causing you to be in a deep, dark depression, and anxiety, that has affected and impacted your finances, health, wellness, relationships, mental, psychological, and spiritual health. This podcast is going to probably hit home to a lot of people to the point where it’s really going to make you have to face a lot of demons, and past experiences that you have buried never to want to be reminded, or have to relive. But this podcast is all about healthy people to face the darkest, traumatic, abusive, and emotional old wounds that you thought you’d have to relive. But unfortunately, we have to relive these situations in order to learn from them, heal from them, grow, elevate, evolve, and mature from these situations. As well as repenting, forgiving, letting go of it, and moving forward. so I really really hope that people can really relate to this particular podcast, because it’s going to go very very deep into some of the most traumatic experiences that a lot of people have been through. Just know that you’re not alone in this. There are other people that are experiencing the same things as you. • Episode 37- My Conversation With Ken Wortley About The Book Of Secrets.
    Jan 8 2026
I decided to only post this podcast episode on only one podcast, but I decided to post on this podcast due to because I wanted this podcast to hear it. In this episode, I had a conversation with Ken Wortley about his book the Gospel of Secrets. Ken is the bestselling author of The Gospel of Secrets: A Memoir of Truth, Liberation, and Love, and a former pastor with two decades spent guiding communities in the U.S. Through his memoir and advocacy, Ken has inspired countless people to embrace self-worth and inner peace as both LGBTQ+ and people of faith. His own transformation—from hiding his true identity to living openly with authenticity and spiritual integrity—is a story of real liberation, breaking cycles of shame, and learning to trust yourself even when tradition says otherwise. we talked about the importance of once you heal and recover and you accept yourself as far as the true and real version of yourself you're never gonna go back to the illusion version of yourself. we talked about how so many people are living a lie, and covering up the real version of themselves. And how that is never a good thing to do. This conversation was an absolute phenomenal conversation. I'm glad that I did the conversation with him because there are millions of people that are hiding the true version of themselves because their parents will never accept the fact that they are gay. And the freedom when people finally admits to not own themselves, but to other people the real version of themselves. We also talk about how people in the gay community are treated when it comes to the church. And how he went from a pastor, to a husband, father, to his discovery of realizing that he was a gay man. This conversation is something that I hope helps millions of people that are struggling with the real version of who they are when it comes to being a gay or lesbian individual. And it's time for us to really have these true conversations about this topic. Especially when it comes to spirituality, and how people use it as a weapon against these types of people. And I think the one thing about being the real version of yourself that is the very beginning of your recovery and healing is once you learn to accept and appreciate the real version of yourself regardless of who doesn't.
