This week legal cannabis sales are inching closer to becoming a reality in Virginia, but lawmakers across the state are still debating when exactly legal sales should start. Hampton is set to launch a new initiative in its school system to prepare for climate impacts. The city received half a million dollars in funding from the state for the project. Finally, environmental and fishing groups are once again pushing state lawmakers to halt industrial menhaden fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.
