A resiliency that will be celebrated in both the 60th anniversary of that memorable storm and the 20th two of her eventual sisters Hurricane Katrina and Rita. All the while noting on the importance of storytelling not just in preserving family history but the healing power of sharing personal experiences and how we all grow for the better from it.
